Good Breakfast Buffet. Went in on a Sunday morning for breakfast buffet. Omelettes cooked to order, bacon or sausage for meats. Self serve waffle machine. Juice and coffee included. Lots of fruit choices, cereal. Smaller selection of baked goods. Our server was just attentive enough without getting in the way. Apparently this is available every morning for $19.00.
Started with 2 orders of Spring Rolls which were crispy & divine. Next we had mushroom soup - too much truffle oil for my dtr, but fine for me. Very rich. For entree I had the duck & once accepting of the intended rareness, discovered to be excellent. The ginger/yam purée it was set on was delicious. Hubby had fish & chips from the daily menu. He said they were just ordinary. Choc mouse for dessert - shouldn't have ordered as too rich, so save room if you must have it. Hubby raved about his apple tart. Service was great, but can't really give valid review as we knew the staff. Only downside is the deserted atmosphere as few dine here other than the hotel's guests. The place really needs to be marketed cuz it's a treat for a dinner out. Would be great before heading up to the theatres downtown.
Ohhhhhh YUM!!!!!!!!. A couple of years ago, I went to a Christmas buffet at this restaurant. It was fantastic. I worried that it might have changed for the worse since last I was there. It has not. I went for the Dine Around dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Every course was perfect. Our waiter, Peter, was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. And, oh, the food! If you have not been to this place and you enjoy fine food, you must go!
